Just wanted to show you an attempt at sponging ink. I was NOT happy with the end result but thought I would share with you to show you how NOT to do it!!!
I like the layout of the card but I think I was way too heavy handed with the inks.
Never mind, I will try again!

Well I'm I can't understand why you're not happy with it Jan. It looks fine to me and I enlarged it to take a closer look! Ye, there's some mottling, but it looks like an overall design element so don't be so hard on yourself.
I read somewhere the other day that if you get harsher lines (or patches you don't like), go over them with a lighter colour to blend them more. Just trying to help!

Love it Jan, you are way too critical, it's a design feature! I'm experimenting and finding a gentle buffing action with a light colour ink on a sponge, to gradually build up colour, gives a more even finish, but I like this look too. There is no 'wrong' in craft! xxx
I agree with Lesley, you are too self critical. I think it's fantastic and so deliciously dimensional, and the colours are scrumptious as well. X
I like this card! Sponging ink is beautiful as all colors, flowers and layout!
